circle symbol   Study Coordination Group
The study team will coordinate with other freight studies underway in Kansas - and neighboring states - that could impact the information and recommendations. The goal is to share information and decisions being made in the other studies so that the Statewide Freight Plan recommendations reflect those other efforts.

triangle symbol   Freight Study Advisory Committee
The Freight Study Advisory Committee is a cross-section of stakeholders representing businesses, carriers, shippers, agriculture, livestock, manufacturers and others keenly interested in freight.

The Freight Study Advisory Committee provides the study team with objective and knowledgeable feedback regarding the information assembled by the study team. The Committee will meet six times during the course of the study to learn about the study status and discuss the information presented.  This feedback will help the study team adjust their efforts and develop a better final plan.

Stakeholder Interviews
Stakeholder interviews have been conducted across the state to help the study team better understand regional issues, individual industry concerns and community development goals. The study team talked with businesses, community leaders, economic development champions, and freight carriers and receivers.

Freight Summit
The freight summit will be a one-day event to present the recommendations that will be included in the final Statewide Freight Plan. Stakeholders will have the opportunity to provide feedback and comments on the recommendations. Those comments will be evaluated and considered before the final plan and recommendations are completed.
