The Kansas Department of Transportation has spent the past year and a half establishing a vision for the transportation future of Kansas by updating its long range transportation plan.  Through detailed technical analysis and an intensive, interactive process, KDOT engaged transportation stakeholders from across the state in developing recommendations to improve the transportation network and strengthen the economic future of the state.  The plan also complies with federal legislation enacted in 2005 --Safe, Accountable, Flexible, and Efficient Transportation Equity Act:  A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU).
